Reference / Coverage ledger
A specific set of verified rows.
517 published configurations. 8 makes, 48 models, 5 model years. The count grows with the evidence: identifiable manufacturer records, reviewed with their applicable conditions.
Published configurations by year
US marketCounts describe reviewed configurations, not every vehicle sold under a model name. A dash means no reviewed rows for that model year; it is not a zero tow rating. Select a count to inspect that year's configurations.
What a published row includes
A stable configuration ID, make, model, year, sourced conventional trailer rating, and the identity and equipment conditions established by the manufacturer. Known engine, cab, drivetrain, bed, wheelbase, transmission, axle and trim distinctions remain attached to that record. Unpublished identity fields stay unknown.
18 published configurations have no confirmed GCWR in this snapshot. Their trailer rating can be referenced, but a combined-weight limit remains not evaluated until a documented GCWR is entered. 40 records also identify a published GVWR variant; the actual vehicle certification label must still match it.
Rows are reviewed against original manufacturer material and its footnotes. Configurations are not generated by combining every engine, cab, and package. A source field recorded as unknown does not silently become “standard equipment.”
Known gaps and withheld variants
Unknown stays unknownFord F-150 source conflicts
The 2026 hybrid GCWR cell is internally inconsistent and the affected rows are withheld. A reviewed configuration elsewhere in the Ford catalog does not resolve this source issue or establish coverage for every powertrain, axle, or package choice.
Different receiver variants prevent a family WD maximum from establishing an installed receiver's limit. Published WC facts have an explicit factory-family scope; individual equipment labels still matter.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Disagreements between one-page charts and full guides affect selected 2023–2026 rows. These include the 2026 5.3L Double Cab 2WD Max Trailering rating and high-GCWR diesel rows. The 2024 chart's hidden text layers also make unreviewed extraction unreliable.
Only agreeing, visually checked rows are published. The reference does not include 2022 LTD, every trim or wheel choice, or all available engine/package combinations.
GM expansion
Chevrolet and GMC are reviewed as separate models. Their ratings are not copied between related platforms. Unpublished drive layout, axle ratio, or wheelbase remains unknown; Blazer EV pAWD is excluded because the selected table gives no trailer rating. Chevrolet HD coverage includes selected conventional rows, not every GVWR, wheel, trim, or cab variant.
Across the directory
Available years and variant depth differ by model. No model-year value is carried forward automatically. Where an official page establishes a trailer maximum but omits GCWR or installed equipment limits, those missing checks remain visible. No single directory entry establishes that all limits for your vehicle are known.
The current source registry contains 3 unavailable historical links and 4 entries with unresolved source issues. Available official editions support every published configuration. Read the individual source notes.
Limits that need your own evidence
No family maximum payload is used as your door-label allowance. Fifth-wheel, gooseneck, commercial combinations, multiple trailers, and dynamic stability calculations are outside this release.
